The Long Short Answer

So, for the WDHA Billboard contest, they ask "What makes you rock and worthy to represent the rock of New Jersey?". The answer length limit is 300 characters, and you can check out my short answer by clicking on the link below (and then voting, pleeeease!!). But here was my original "long" answer (which is still kinda short lols): "I'm a NJ native ROCKER/Singer/Songwriter, who is a true #1 fan of WDHA. My music has been played on Homegrown Spotlight a couple times, and I came into the studio to perform and do an interview with Lindsay Klein. I am a hard working "Do It Yourself" musician, who has done absolutely every aspect of my music and promotion myself. "Self made". WDHA is amazing for many reasons, but one of the awesome things that sets it apart from most other stations, is that it focuses on the local New Jersey community. It gives the "little guy" a loud voice- whether it be a local animal shelter, a local restaurant, or a local unsigned band (like mine). Just the idea of being able to hear one of my songs on an incredible radio station I always listen to (WDHA) has been one of the biggest motivations for me to keep following my dreams. Thanks to WDHA, I've played a small part in keeping Rock alive. I know that my journey, my "road to rockdom", is a perfect reflection of all that WDHA stands for, and I'm proud to be a fan." I know this is probably crazy, but one of the greatest radio stations on the planet, 105.5 WDHA The Rock of New Jersey (aka Preset 1 in my car), is looking for a local rocker to feature on their new billboards all over New Jersey. Radio Airplay on WDHA and WZZO

Hey Guys,

Things have been real hectic and I'm a bit behind on my blog. Got a few entries to catch up with and I'm gonna do them in order so that I cover everything I missed lols.

So last week I had the honor of being played on TWO radio stations!!! Thank you so much to Lindsay Klein at 105.5 WDHA The Rock of New Jersey for playing "Lightning Strikes Twice" on the radio again, and thank you so much to Jain at 95.1 WZZO The Valley's Only REAL Rock (PA) for playing "Gypsy Rock" again!!! I got to hear both plays, and really appreciate the support. Thank you guys.

Last Monday, I also had an awesome interview with Lindsay Klein at the WDHA studio!!!!! We also did an acoustic performance. It was so great to finally meet Lindsay in person- she's one of my favourite DJs, and we've been in contact for a couple years. She's such a sweet person, glad we got to hang! I'm also a huge fan of WDHA 105.5, so it was super cool to be in their studio!!!!!!!!!!! Was fan-girling out a bit, lols, but I think I held it together haha. That moment was literally a dream come true for me! 105.5 is Preset 1 in my car, which also has a WDHA bumper sticker on it. Every day I drink my coffee out of my WDHA coffee mug. I have been a long time fan of this amazing radio station, so it was very special to me to hear one of my songs play on it. Thank you Lindsay...and you're absolutely right--persistence, motivation, & passion really do pay off!! And any time you want to play a Madysin Hatter track, you know I'm 100% on board lolols.
